2007 - 45th Reunion:

FAMILY INFORMATION:

I have been married 39 years to Harry. We have 3 children. Lisa, 37; Chip,34 and Matthew, 32. Three adorable grandchildren. Emma, 4 (Lisa's) and Austin, 4 years old and Carson, 2 years (Chip's). Sister, Sandy lives in Johnston.

WHATEVER YOU WANT TO SHARE ABOUT WHAT’S HAPPENING IN YOUR LIFE:

After college, I worked as a flight attendent for United, a kindergarten teacher, a real estate agent and a showroom manager at the Atlanta Apparel Mart. I've been the Site Project Manager and on the board of directors for Habitat for Humanity. I'm now involved with the Cobb Commission on Children & Youth and with the Appalachian Children's Emergency Shelter. I've been a long time student of Precept Bible Study. Our greatest joy is taking care of our precious grandchildren. They're all close by and spend the night with us at least once a week!

WAS THERE SOMETHING AT JOHNSTON THAT INSPIRED YOU OR CHANGED YOU AND THUS BECAME PART OF YOUR DAILY LIFE?

Memories from JHS: Just growing up in a small town where everyone knew you and your parents and you knew who lived in almost every house was certainly comforting and reassuring. Not like today, where you often hardly know your neighbors. I love to come to back to visit Johnston!

2002 - 40th Reunion:

Family Information

Harry and I have been married for 34 years. We have three grown children, Lisa, Chip and Matthew. They have all graduated from college, have all married and live in the Atlanta area. Chip and his wife gave us our first grandchild, Austin Gregory, on February 12, 2002. Lisa and her husband are due to deliver a girl on July 20! We are so excited!!

Work/Retirement History

I’ve worked as a Flight Attendant, Kindergarten teacher, Real Estate Agent and Showroom Manager at the Atlanta Apparel Mart. I volunteer as a Site Project Manager for Habitat for Humanity and as a surrogate parent for Special Education students in the Cobb County schools.

Life’s Highlights

Since graduating from Coe College, I’ve lived in San Francisco, New York, and New Jersey while working for United Airlines; in South Carolina when we were first married, in Texas when Harry first went with Delta, and then Georgia for the past 26 years. We bought a log home in the North Georgia mountains in September, a condo in the city of Marietta in February, and have our Mini horse farm on the market to simplify our lives. We love to travel, especially on cruises and on trains. We’ve taken several train trips including the Orient Express from Singapore to Bangkok. We have experienced many rich blessings in our lifetime including good health for both of us.
