WAS THERE SOMETHING AT JOHNSTON THAT INSPIRED YOU OR CHANGED YOU AND THUS BECAME PART OF YOUR DAILY LIFE?

Memories of JHS: Mr. Pugh--never smoke. Mrs. Varner and French class--remember we wrote a play and acted the roles. Loved basketball, band and choir--taught me teamwork-makes life better.

1997 - 35th Reunion:

I have a bachelor's degree in nursing; nurse-certified in infection control. I continue to work at the Hospital at the Beach. I transferred from the larger Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville six years ago; however, the Baptist System and the Catholic Hospital have joined to fend off the ever widening columbia system. This has created the need to attend more and more meetings to merge all the departments at the four various sized facilities.

I am divorced. Have six sons, 27,30,33,34,34, and 35; six grandchildren, 3 girls and 3 boys; and two peek-a-poo/maltese dogs.

Am active in infection control and employee health organizations. Enjoy traveling, reading--including Suzi Cannon's book, playing tennis, walking on the beach and fishing.
