FAMILY INFORMATION:

My wife, Pam, is from Marshalltown, Iowa.

We have two sons:

Ken (31) and wife, Brandy, have a daughter (2 1/2).

Aaron and his wife, Vickki, have a daughter, Alissa (10).



WHATEVER YOU WANT TO SHARE ABOUT WHAT’S HAPPENING IN YOUR LIFE:

I retired in 1998 after 32 years with Motorola. I spend my summers in my cabin in northern Arizona and the winter in Mesa, Arizona.

My hobbies are ham radio, which I started in the 10th grade, Astronomy and golf.



WAS THERE SOMETHING AT JOHNSTON THAT INSPIRED YOU OR CHANGED YOU AND THUS BECAME PART OF YOUR DAILY LIFE?

After I graduated from the 8th grade, my grandparents took me to Winston Salem, NC, to visit my aunt and uncle. Next door was a ham radio operator. I got to talk on his radio to my parents in Johnston. That was a big deal and it got me into electronics.

Family Information

Moved to Arizona to marry a Marshalltown, Iowa girl named Pam.

We have 2 boys, aged 26 and 27, both unmarried.

Work/Retirement History

I spent 4 years in the Air Force after high school, then 32 years with Motorola as an Engineering Assistant. I retired in 1998. Retirement is the best job: no boss, no hours, no money!

Life’s Highlights

I think my 15 minutes of fame would have been in 1984,when I had the honor of initiating my Senator John McCain into my Elks Lodge. I was the Exalted Ruler (President) at the time.

1997 - 35th Reunion:

Nothing new to report. I'm looking forward to retirement in one year and nine months after 31 years with Motorola.
