2007 - 45th Reunion:

FAMILY INFORMATION:

In the 5 years since our last reunion in a barn, I have gained a son-in-law and three grandchildren.

James Wardlow is my daughter Justine's husband and they are the parents of Quillan, 3, and Audrey Danica, 1. Quillan is ancient Celt meaning "bear cub". Audrey Danica (Dani) is named for my mother and sister.

My son, Jon and his wife Judy are the parents of Brian James David Culver, 2 1/2. Brian's dad, grandpa (Terry Culver), great-grandpa and many more "greats" had the middle name of David.



WHATEVER YOU WANT TO SHARE ABOUT WHAT’S HAPPENING IN YOUR LIFE:

I have retired from full-time employment. I work part time to stay in shape because Quillan thinks his "Gamma" can do anything.

I continue to be blessed with good health and am grateful for God's many mercies.

Work/Retirement History

After 9 years at The Principal Financial Group, I left to take a job with the State of Iowa. After regaining my senses, I went to Bankers Trust to work in secondary mortgage compliance. The bank got a “1” (highest) when the auditors rated my work. The first “1” ever for secondary.

Life’s Highlights

As a female growing up in the 50’s and 60’s, if we got out of line some were told, “if you don’t watch out you’ll end up in Mitchellville”. Well, I ended up in Mitchellville; it’s now called “Iowa Correctional Institute for Women” and is part of the Iowa Department of Corrections. I went there as a correctional officer. I have some amazing stories I could tell.

1997 - 35th Reunion:

Children: Jon and Justine.

Jon married Judy Heiers on july 8, 1995. Their first "married" dance was to Buddy Holly's "Tru Love Waits". They had known each other for ten years before they married. Nancy Pontious and sandy reier attended the wedding. Jon is an electrical engineer with Delco Electronics and Judy is a Dentist with her own practice. They live in Cicero, Indiana.

Justine is with sprint in Kansas City, KS. She is in inventory management and technical support.

I have done an empty nest "move down". I now own a home west of the Waveland golf course. I have a large "Florida" room filled with plants so I can "play in the dirt" all year round. Also, I have , after all the years of owning homes, an attached garage.

Last summer, Nancy Pontious and her husband and I went to Cancun with Sandy Reier and her sister, Karen. Sandy has a condo there. Sandy and I parasailed from the beach.

We learned that the Aztecs lived in 52 year cycles. We can pretend we are Aztecs and we are only in our second cycle!!!

I am going back with Ginny Signs, Sandy, and Karen next week.
